Now boarding the internet marketing train...

Dang it's been a busy week so far. Way too much work and not enough sleep! Still, it's good to busy - I digress.

Where were we last time, oh yes Chris Howard's Ultimate Marketing Seminar. So I was pretty impressed and inspired by all these guys and to your surprise I have purchased the course/media of a certain Mr Armand Morin. I have been listening to his audio internet marketing 101 class, about two thirds of the way through, I will relay my progress in this blog...

What I wanted to post on Sunday was I went to Andrew Reynold's Bootcamp at the O2 on Saturday, it was on Friday as well but some of us have got to work you know!! A similar setup to the Chris Howard event but much bigger, and Mr Howard was there to present as well - I had seen him before at his breakthrough to success weekend - which if you haven't tasted before I highly recommend. Simon Coulson was here as well, and to cut a long story he play a song with the guys from his cold play cover band, cool play - very very good, his tales and success in internet marketing are pretty impressive too.

I have to say a big fair play and respect should go to Andrew and his fund raising drive for the Make a Wish foundation, a huge amount of money was made. Additionally some of the ever so worthwhile causes he has contributed to in a big way - showed me why wealth can be so powerful in a good way rather than perhaps the generally negative view of successful people. I'm going to be working harder now!

Finally at the same gig, Andrew had put his Bentley Continental up for grabs by way of a raffle at the end of the weekend. Bradley Walsh was there to help with proceedings, sadly I have to say I didn't get picked - I will just have to work my way there!! Great day though and again learn't alot. I must give a final mention to the extremely entertaining Mr Joel Comm who was the last speaker on - very very funny, very successful and the proud father of the iFart - genious!

Right, I need some sleep!

Let's Start - My Internet Marketing Maiden Voyage - Starting to Board

Ok where do I begin?

I have literally just started this blog to document my journey as a newly established internet marketer. I don't know what to expect and at the moment it could be said I don't know a lot! I do love to learn, I do love the internet and technology a techy, I write and design code for a living but have many interests and if anything perhaps suffer from wanting to know everything about everything. My book shelves, let alone the internet has to much information to fit in my brain.

My interest was sparked only a few weeks ago when my partner and I went to Christopher Howard's Ultimate Marketing Seminar at the beginning of September in London. I clearly have had my head in the sand for quite some time since a lot of the speakers where completely new to me. Over the three days we saw Simon Coulson, Adam Ginsberg, Armand Morin, Kerwin Rae, James Schramko, Daniel Wagner, Len Foley and Bernadette Doyle. Some fantastic speakers really entertaining and educational - I will try to recap the event as a separate blog.

I was left with no doubt in my mind what these people have acheived was now my destiny! With my tech nowhow and my fiancé's amazing sales and marketing skills there is only one way to go.

My motivations are to make money obviously and I will admit admit whilst skeptical I would love to earn a living using the internet. I don't only want to make money I do want to learn new "stuff", and as part of my journey would love to help other people too - be it through this IM blog or through my IT skills or other talents. If I can achieve the success as reported by the many gurus out there, it of course would be wonderful to plow that success into helping less fortunately people in the world in a substantial way. Ok let's do it!

Where to next? I'm current wading through tons of web pages, ebooks and mp3s. Once I have made some sense of this I will post some more...
